PNG-8:
PNG-8 is alot smaller, and I can tell that the quality has gone down. It's: 871 KB
How do GIFs work?

Unlike any other file formats, GIFs can be animated.
GIFs actually have multiple pictures, and display one at a time at a
very high frame rate. This is actually how Cartoons, and movies work. Although
this is common, many gif files do not animate.
But GIFs can only support up to 256 colors, and JPEG can support up to 16 million colors. This
isnt very noticable the to the human eye, but still is more nice. PNGs are more compressable than
GIFs, but GIFs also have transparency. GIFs do not support True Color images, but "dithering" is
supported by GIFs. PNGs are similar, and were made to compete with GIFs. They dont support animated
pictures, but also support transparency.
Later, APNGs where created, and supported animations. It still isnt popular today, and GIFs have
been popluar for a while. PNGs where created to replace GIFs, but they still and probably wont fade
for a long time. GIFs might be comparable, and not have as good quality as others, but GIFs are still important.
